  • The Indus Valley lasted from 3300 B.C. - 1600 B.C.
  • Hello, and welcome to Mohenjo-Daro! We're located on the Indus river, which is in modern day pakistan.
  • mohenjo-daro ->
  • Homes in the Indus valley were made out of mud brick. Unlike most ancient civilizations, we made them in kilns.
  • Meow
  • I love sunbathing on the roof!!!
  • We spent most of our time up on the roof!
  • The Indus Valley had the first sanitation systems. Pipes connecting to toilets and baths led out to sewers under the streets.
  • Why can't I swim in the great bath?
  • woof woof
  • This is the great baths. I come here to be clean in body and soul. The bath also has a pipe leading to the sewers to get rid of old water. The new water comes from the river.
  • Only the scribes can read and write.
  • Seals are important too. It's used for signing names, and reciepts, because most of us can't read.
  • We use items easy found here to trade. We use boats and may have been the first to use wheeled transportation.
  • This boat is making me sea-sick....
  • We trade for things such as copper and other minerals
