  • Could you believe how easy that test was in Bio?
  • <---Christine Sophie--->
  • Macromolecules Activity #1
  • Easy? More like hard. Who knew we had to know about macromolecules.
  • Well, she did say that it was over the notes, which were over macromolecules. Besides, I think that I aced that test.
  • Well, I think that I have failed. So, can you refresh my memory so I can take the retake test?
  • ---Yeah, yeah, carbohydrates, lipids, porteins, and nucleic acids.
  • Well, let's start with the basics. There are 4 main types of macromolecules,---
  • Who wants snacks?
  • ---No, they are a long term energy storage, part of cell's structure, it makes up natural steroids, is used for insulation and water proofing.
  • See, carbohydrates are a source of usable energy for cells and a major part of a plant cell structure, while lipids are used to store genetic code---
  • I'm putting the cookies on the table.
  • <---Mom
  • My favorite, chocolate chip cookies.
  • <---Dad
  • While proteins are antibodies, muscle proteins, enzymes, hormones, structural, used as transport, and used as antibodies.
  • Nucleic acids are used to contain genetic information.
  • Also, all macromolecules help the body go about in daily activities. You also need to know the elements that make them up.
  • Carbohydrates are made of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. Lipids are also made of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen.
