  • How funny I'm learning about gold in science class!
  • Time for research!!
  • Wow I'll be rich
  • Wow it can conduct electricity, doesn't tarnish, and very easy to work with! It's also a fracture and metallic. Oh look how pretty it's a gold yellow.
  • One day, Emily went out side to plant some flowers. She then hit something, so she dug it out. It was a box! She then opened the box with her shovel and there was a map inside. It said, "Gold you find, if map you follow."" How funny I'm learning about gold in science class, " she said. She then sighs cause she's the only person in her class that doesn't understand it.
  • On I go!
  • After finding the map, first thing she does is go inside to research this thing called gold. When she was little she always heard about gold but never really understood what the importance of learning about it.
  • That house looks familiar.
  • It's used for many things like : Jewelry, Dental, Financial, Medical, Electronics, Aerospace, Computers ,Awards, Glass, and Gilding. Also, gold symbolize power, beauty, purity, and accomplishment. Today we continue to use gold for our most significant objects: wedding rings, Olympic medals, Oscars, Grammys, money, crucifixes and ecclesiastical art.
  • In this research, she finds some amazing things about gold! She finds out that gold is very useful. It's used for many things like : Jewelry, Dental, Financial, Medical, Electronics, Aerospace, Computers ,Awards, Glass, and Gilding. Also, gold symbolize power, beauty, purity, and accomplishment. Today we continue to use gold for our most significant objects: wedding rings, Olympic medals, Oscars, Grammys, money, crucifixes and ecclesiastical art. "Wow I'll be rich I guess it's more interesting then I thought."
  • GRANDMA?!
  • Also on the hardness scale 2.5 to 3. It's Harder than Talc and Gypsum but softer than diamond and Topaz.The structure is soft, malleable, ductile, and sectile.It has a very high luster, tarnish resistance, and has the ability to be drawn into wires, hammered into sheets, or cast into shapes. Grandma uses gold everyday. It's in my house. Can you believe it? Yep it's in my phone, computer and some of my jewelry. Haha also you didn't know this but when I was 13 I won a gold medal in a volleyball championship.
  • After all of that research she knows enough that this trip will be worth it. So she packs a bag filled with things she might need and then goes on her way. First, the map says go 4 blocks down south then 3 north.
  • After that it said," Go to the house and knock on the door." I was confused. "Wow it's just that easy." She then got really excited and ran into the yard then gasped with the sight of the house.
  • Wow it's just that easy?
  • "How could I not have known."she said Grandma why did you do this to me? "I knew you were having trouble so I thought this would be a good way for you to learn about gold." her grandma said. "Well, I did learn a lot I guess." she said She then tells her what she learned... Now aren't you happy that you learned it? "Yes, thank you Grandma." "NO problem honey now come in and I'll give you some pie and maybe I'll even show you that medal."
