Jonas and Lily are sharing their feelings with each other because that is their daily ritual. They do it at least two times a day and the listeners sometimes comment. They do it in the morning about their dreams and before bedtime and they tell about their day.
Take him back to the center
Jonas and Gabe are in the wilderness right at the moment because Gabe was going to get released and Jonas wanted to find out want would happen if all the memories were restored to their proper owners.
In this scene the Giver is giving Jonas a memory. Every day, as Jonas's assignment he gets new memories from the Giver, the more he learns about the world before it had war.
Jonas's dad is assigned as nurturer, in this scene Jonas's father is about to be releasing a newborn twin. To do this you first have to compare weight. Then which ever child weights more is raised in the community and the smaller baby gets released. When you are released you get a shot that makes your heart stop beating and then you are thrown into the garbage disposal.
Fiona, Asher, and some other little kids are playing the war game and Jonas gets upset because he got the memory of war and he is like that is okay with them to have an awful memory like that.
Jonas and Gabe are trying to move to elsewhere, but suddenly Jonas remembers something, it was the sledding memory. They sled and then they find the house that was from the Christmas memory, it was all coming together then, thee end.
