- Hey there! My name is Barb. This is the Verona Women's crisis center. Is there something I can help you with?
- I'm not sure... I don't even think I should be here.
- You are welcome to come sit with me if you're comfortable with that. You can stay as long as you like.

- Why don't you tell me about yourself?
- Um, my name is Kat. I'm married and have a sister. No kids. My father is still around, but not my mom.
- How is your relationship with your family?

- Is that what brought you here today?
- Why don't you start from the beginning?
- Well I guess it all started when...
- Kat, why can't you be more like your sister Bianca?
