Hello everyone, I am Fred. I am here today to discuss eating disorders and body images.
Eating disorders such as bulimia and anorexia can be disruptive to ones life and health.
The lack of nutrients cause by either eating disorder can cause a drop in blood pressure, as well as pulse and breathing rate, hair loss, anemia, brittle bones, damage to the stomach or kidneys, loss of periods, and constant stomach pain.
Eating disorders are psychological disorders and disrupt ones body image. Instead of thinking positive thoughts about ones body, their self esteem has decreased and they feel very negative about the way they look.
It is important for someone with an eating disorder to get help. In order to become physically and mentally healthy again, many type of doctors are involved. Without help, health problems may become permanent.
