Alright class! Today we will be going over mechanical and chemical weathering. What do you already know about mechanical weathering? And am example?
I know what mechanical weathering is! Mechanical weathering is a process where it breaks big rocks into smaller ones.
An example is ice freezing and expanding in cracks inside of the rock.
Good! What is chemical weathering? And an exmaple?
Chemical weathering is the erosion of rocks.
An example is when it rains, water seeps down into the ground and comes into contact with granite.
