Storyboard Text

  • Hello I am Franhoy, I am here to talk about transcription. During transcription DNA is unzipped and a gene from DNA is copied into a mRNA strand. MRNA is single stranded unlike DNA which is double stranded. Now my friend Earl will talk about the end result of transcription.
  • Howdy I am Earl. I am going to teach y´all about the end result of transcription. After transcription takes place the mRNA that is created goes through another processed called translation. I am gonna let my freind Carlos explain translation.
  • Good Morning I am Carlos, Mr. President to you. During translation ribosomes read the newly created RNA and and tell tRNA to bring the corrects amino acids to the ribosome. The ribosomes connect the amino acids together. Now my friend Paul will explain the end result of translation.
  • Top of the morning to ya! I am Paul and as Mr.Presedent said I will talk about the end result of translation. What happens during the end of translation is the amino acids build longer and longer until they create a protein! The protein then goes onto do protein things. Well thats the process to create a protein my friend Deshawn will talk about what happens if there is a mistake in transcription or translation.
  • Yo what up cuz. I am DeShawn and I am here to talk about what happens if there is a screw up in either transcription or translation. If there is a mistake in the process it will make a mutation in the organism. These mutations are usually a bad thing.  Also the protein is in the wrong order and cant do its job properly.
  • That is the process of transcription and translation. DNA is copied and is turned into RNA. RNA is read by ribosomes and is made into protein. Thanks for reading. Signing off, Franhoy
