Title: We first thought the title to "Ode to Tomatoes" was going to be over dramatic, so much so as to have a comical effect.
Paraphrase: Line 1-27. The street is overflowing with tomatoes during the summer, their juice flowing through the street, while in December they invade the kitchens, going with everything in there, leaving its distinct mark wherever it goes.
Paraphrase: lines 28- End. Unfortunately, we need to murder the tomato and use its guts to use in salads were it is wed with onions, met with oils, olives, salt, peppers, and boiled potatoes. In the middle of summer, the tomato regrows and shows how resilient they are, leaving no pit, husk, leaves or thorns when the die, offering its fiery color and the cool completeness of its cycle.
