Bob Marley was born on 6 February 1945 Nine Mile, Jamaica he was one of five children. His parents were Norval Sinclair Marley and Cedella Booker.

Bob’s early life was spent in the community of Nine Miles, but at age 5 his father took him away from his family to Kingston to live with his nephew. His father left him and Bob Marley never saw him again. After 18 months his mother found out that he didn’t go to school so she took him back to Nine Mile. The storytelling of fables from the villagers inspired Bob Marley for his adulthood.
When he was a young teen Bob Marley and his mother moved to Trench Town. Trench Town had a rough reputation. Bob learned to defend himself against violent thugs. His good street-fighting skills earned him the nickname “Tuff Gong”.
He left school at fourteen to become a welder but after an accident he focused more on music. At sixteen he met other singer Desmond Dekker and Jimmy Cliff.
In 1962 Marley was introduced to Leslie Kong, a music producer. Bob made his first singles, “Judge Not”, “Terror” and “One More Cup of Coffee” The public didn’t like the song, he only got $20
You sing so well
In 1963 Bob Marley went to vocal lessons with his childhood friend, Bunny Wailer. There they learned the principle of rhythm,melody and harmony. After this Marley created the band “The Wailing Wailers”
