Storyboard Text

  • Physics 101 w/ Marshall The Dog
  • Objects in motion remain in motion, objects at rest stay at rest unless acted on by an outside force. Like my budget, and how it keeps me around!
  • Force is mass multiplied by acceleration or F=ma. This means that F/a or F/m will either equal acceleration or mass.
  • Each action has an equal and opposite reaction. So if you give me a treat, the reaction will be me actually caring about this presentation.
  • Newtons 1st Law
  • Because there is nothing to stop Crystal from floating off, she will remain in motion. I get her paycheck right?
  • He pushed me!
  •                                  Newtons 2nd Law
  • Where am I?
  • If tiny human pushes the bowling ball with the same force as a soccer ball, the bowling ball will go much less further.
  • Due to budget cuts, Marshall hasn't shown up. So I will teach this lesson.
  • Newtons 3rd Law
  • If Jake here were to jump, the action he would cause would be his feet pushing the board down. The reaction is flight.
  • Where's my scuba gear?
  • "Since the are no objects or outside forces in space at the moment, Crystal will continue to float off and out of the moons gravity for awhile. This is because objects in motion stay in motion unless acted upon."
  •  "Say that the boy pushes a soccer ball with 30 Newtons of force and then pushes a bowling ball with 30 Newtons. The soccer ball will go further because of its mass. F=ma."
  • "When it comes to Newton's 3rd Law, actions and reactions can be quite simple. If Jake jumps like Marshall mentioned, the action should be his feet pushing the board down. The reaction would be the board springing up and launching Jake forward. Hopefully."
