  • Sorry, no can do!
  • Hmm...I have an idea...
  • Need some help?
  • Sounds good!
  • In 1810, Tecumseh met with the governor of Indiana, William Henry Harrison, at the Council of Vincennes. He demanded that the land that was sold by the older generation's chief be returned to his tribe, but Harrison refused to return the land.
  • Die!!!
  • No, you die!!!
  • Tecumseh decided that he would have to fight the Americans to get the land back for his tribe.
  • When the war of 1812 began, Tecumseh travelled to Michigan to fight with the British against the Americans hoping this would help get the land back for his tribe.
  • Tecumseh participated in many battles of the War of 1812 and helped General Issac Brock of the British Army.
  • Tecumseh was killed during the Battle of Thames, while helping the British capture Detroit.
  • While Tecumseh wasn't entirely successful in gaining the land back for his people, he remains a very important figure in the War of 1812.
  • THE END.
