  • In 1906, Congress passed the Pure food and Drug act. This prohibited harmful and mislabeled food and Drugs. The law protected citizens from the consumption of numerous harmful products
  • Voting Rights Act of 1965
  • In 1920, Congress ratified the 19th amendment to the United States constitution. This Amendment gave women the right to vote.
  • Brooke breaks color line (1966)
  • The civil rights act outlaws discriminated on base of race,Color,Religion,Sex and national origin from all public place. It also ended segregation of schools and made employment discrimination illegal
  • Loving v.Virginia (1967)
  • Prohibits the denial or restriction to the right to vote.
  • Edward Brooke the first African American to be popularity elected to the U.S Senate, serving two year term.
  • The U.S Supreme Court declares that prohibiting inter-racial marriage are constitutional
