"ill put the old devil out his misery right now and get it over with it. Aint nothing nothing left for him. Cant eat , cant see , cant even walk without hurting."
This quote is one of the many examples of friendships which is a very important theme in this book. The scene that the quote is talking about is where George is getting annoyed with Lennie because he was thinking about why they got kicked out of weed and he went off but he wouldn't let lennie leave by himself because he truely cares for him and doesn't want him to get hurt or be alone.
This quote represents powerlessness which is is one of the themes of this chapter, The quote that represents the scene is where Curly is talking to the new guys Lennie and George and Lennie is not supposed to talk to no one so he is looking for George to help him but he couldn't and that represents powerlessness.
This quote is pertaining when candy had to give up the dog that he has had since the dog was a pup. Carssion was the one that actually shot and killed the dog. Candy had no control on trying to stop the situation , he felt "powerlessness"
