Storyboard Text

  • The mother comes home with her child after giving birth. At this time, the mother thinks that time with her child will be eternal. Lines 1 & 2 will be with this view because it explains how the time will actually come to an end quicker than she imagines. The music will start off happy but will sharply shift to a low, dreary background music. (Mother will be rocking the baby back and forth looking happy the whole time, sonnet will be read by a narrator the whole time)
  • The mother is happily enjoying time with her child as it continues to grow up. Lines 2-4 will be here to show how each moment seems to go by faster and faster. The music will be a quiet, yet happy background music. (mother will be sitting and smiling while the baby runs around)
  • The boy begins to express an interest in sports at a young age. He develops the mindset that he will prosper and that nothing can stop him. Lines 5 & 6 will be here to show that he is maturing and time has yet to do its evil on him. (all of the children are playing soccer, one shows significant dominance)
  • The teen now excels in sports and is using it as his way to go places. Lines 7, 8 & 9 will go here. Intense, fast music. (Teen playing baseball, again showing dominance over his opponents, gets talked to by scouts after the game)
  • The boy sustains a serious injury that will prevent him from playing anymore and he realizes just how cruel time is, changing his life in a split second. (teen is laying on the couch with his leg propped up with ice on it after suffering the injury)
  • Looking back the man realizes how cruel time can be and how it can turn things for the worst in the blink of an eye (older man sitting talking with friends about past sports experiences and getting sad)
