When I was in eighth grade, I was nervous about auditioning for the high school show choir. This put me out of my comfort zone and made me try things I had never done previously.
Even though I was anxious, I made it onto the show choir! Little did I know, I was going to have a lot of hard work ahead of me...
"Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So, La, Ti, Do!"
In show choir, performers have to be able to sing, dance and have a smile on their face at all times. This was something new that I had to learn, and at times it was difficult. In the end, I was able to overcome my struggles.
"All of your feet have to look the same!"
"Girls, Girls, GIRLS!!!"
There were many benefits I gained by being in the show choir. I met a bunch of new people and made friendships that I would remember forever.
I was also able to experience many new things. Through show choir, I was able to perform at Disney World, Kennywood Amusement Park and Busch Gardens Theme Park.
Auditioning for the show choir was the best decision I could have ever made. Even though I had challenges to overcome, I was able to rise above them and even earn best performer awards. I will always be grateful for the lessons I learned and cherish the memories I made because of show choir.
