Raphael, Gardo and Rat travel to Naravo Cemetery on the Day of the Dead. Rat pays the bribe to a guard and they get the Angelico family's grave number reference.
The boys figure out that they have to go to the poor side of the cemetery (the brightest light). They find the graves of the Angelico family, including Jose Angelico's daughter's, Pia. They see the phrase 'it is accomplished' above her grave. The boys figure out that the money must be hidden in Pia's grave box.
Raphael, Gardo and Rat find a small girl waiting for Jose Angelico. The girl is Jose Angelico's daughter, Pia Dante Angelico.
The boys realize that Pia is starving so they buy her some food to eat and they find a place to stay the night. There they drink some brandy and come up with a plan of how to to break into the grave. Soon the boys go back into the cemetery, which is isolated because many people had left because the typhoon winds got stronger. Next, the boys open the coffin, which is packed with money to thier happiness. Then they take the money.
They find a place to stay and discuss their plan.
The group go back to The Mission School in Behala where Rat leaves Father Julliard a picture he drew. They then stuff the money into backpacks at the school and throw the left over money into the typhoon wind for the Behala dumpsite residents to find the next day.
The boys and Pia Dante catch a train out of Behala and travel to Sampola. Then they caught a ferry and crossed the sea for nine hours to a place called Fort Barton. After some more travelling they arrived at a beach -their paradise. Afterwards they bought boats and learned how to fish and they will fish for ever and live happy lives.
