  • My prediction based on the title of this story,  is that this story is  about a bird, and the theme may have something to do with death.

  • This story is about a man who has lost the love of his life, and a raven knocks at his door. The raven fly's in, and in fustration, the man tells the raven to leave, but with every attempt it replies "nevermore."
  • Shift
  • Nevermore
  • The connotation of this story is grief.
  • Theme
  • The attitude of this story can be shown as dreadful, miserable, mournful, dreary, weak, weary, and bleak.
  • The shift occurs when the man asks the raven if he will see Lanore again and the raven responds "nevermore." The overall shift went from sadness to anger.
  • The overall theme of this story is that you shouldn't grieve over the loved ones you've lost, be thankful for all the times spent with them.
