  • The Geography and Location of Rome 
  • Romulus and Remus 
  • Etruscan Engineering
  • The location of Rome is on the Italian Peninsula. The Geography of Rome is very mountainous. Rome has lots of mountains. 
  • Etruscan Sports 
  •  Romulus and Remus were twin brothers. One day, someone came in when the little babies were sleeping and kidnapped them. Then the kidnapper threw them in a river. The twins went down the river and eventually stopped. A wolf found them and took them back in the woods. The wolf raised the boys until they explored on their own. One day Romulus and Remus got in a huge fight. The ending was that Romulus killed his brother Remus. 
  • Greek Architecture

  • Etruscan Engineering was very unique. Etruscans made beautiful arches. A cuniculus was a very long underground trench. They used this to irrigate land, to drain swamps, and to distribute water to their cities. 
  • Greek Writing, Art, and Religion 
  • Etruscan Sports was not like our sports today. Etruscan Sports were like slave fighting, and chariot racing. When we think of sports we do not think of kill then or punish them. We think as it is fun and having a good time. The Romans thought of it like brutal, terrible, and painful. If you won the battle you got killed. It was harsh back then. 
  • The Romans also loved Greek architecture. The Romans were greatly influenced by the Greeks. The Romans built nice temples for their gods. The Romans used Greek ideas in their buildings. Columns were a big thing for the Greeks and Romans. There was three different kinds of columns. From the most simplest to the most complex goes, Doric, Ionic, and last, Corinthian.

  • The Romans were greatly influenced by the Greeks. The Romans really like pottery,painting, and sculpting. Roman sculptures can create life-like portraits. The Romans used Greek ideas in their paintings.
