  • (4.1.54-56)
  • Do thou call my resolution wise, And with this knife I'll help it presently. (shows him a knife)
  • (4.5.36-37)
  • Hath death lain with thy wife. There she lies, Flower as she was, deflowered by him.
  • Friar Lawrence in this scene is describing to Juliet how long the potion would last on her. For Example: two-and-forty hours would mean 42 hours.
  • (4.1.83-84)
  • O'ercovered quite with dead men's rattling bones, with reeky shanks and yellow chapless skulls
  • Juliet in this scene is doubting that the vial would work on her for the full 42 hours, and she is telling Friar, if it were not to work, she would kill herself with the knife.
  • (2.6.20-37)
  • Lord Capulet is the one who brings the "news" to the Friar. In this case brings us Dramatic Irony due to the fact the Friar knows that Juliet is alive.
  • (4.5.121-125)
  • (sings) When gripping grief the heart doth wound and doeful dumps the mind opress, then music with her silver sound-
  • Juliet is describing how it would be in the graveyard with the other bodies there, lying dead. All with her dead cousin, Tybalt.
  • The one character I would blame for all of the problems going on would be Juliet. If she went with her father's idea with marrying Paris, then none of this would have happened. She also could have just let the little "true love" at 13 go.
  • Comic Relief is in this scene due to the very dramatic death scene that has just occurred. Shakespeare adds this to the story because it would add some sense of a relief.
  • (speaks) why 'silver sound'? why 'music with her 'silver sound' what say you Simon Caling?
