  • Andrew Jackson for President
  • President Jackson you are an inspiration and I knew you would win the election by a landslide!
  • I believe that the government is under the control of the rich.I want to change this and make everybody equal!
  • Suffrage
  • I will make sure poor white men renting land and ordinary people are able to vote.
  • Thank you President Jackson for letting me a sharecropper or a man renting land be able to vote.

  • All in favor of letting the people of your state to vote for presidential electors rather than state legislatures say, I.
  • When Jackson became president the idea of popular sovereignty spread across the nation.
  • Bureaucracy
  • Jackson wanted direct citizen participation, he wanted government and society to become equal. Suffrage, or the right to vote, changed drastically in the 1800s.
  • The Nominating Conventions
  • Our first elections as democrats this year, 1832. I think we should nominate the candidate with a 2/3 vote.
  • 22 out of the 24 states allowed people to vote for presidential electors. This was the start of popular sovereignty.
  • Conclusion
  • I believe that we live in a great country where the average male citizen should be able to vote.
  • The bureaucracy was a system in which non-elected officials carried out the laws. Jackson put as many followers of his as he could which is now known as the spoils system.
  • Under the federalist party the government has become to big
  • You should use me President Jackson, I could get the job done and I'm one of your biggest fans!!
  • The caucus system was abandoned and then were replaced by nominating conventions, in which delegates selected their parties nominees. Jackson created this system that we still use today.
  • This system is used in America today and of course I won for the democrats.
  • Jackson was an amazing and asset to our country to becoming great. He created many new systems that we still use today. He cared about the average american. Overall Jackson was a hero to our country.
  • You are a true hero President Jackson. Where would our country be without you.
