  • The setting is in a dark room at midnight with the narrator and an old man. The narrator is with the old man. He realized something.
  • Climax
  • The narrator realized he hates the old man's eye. So the narrator thinks to himself he needs to kill this man to "close the eye forever." He next did something really creepy.
  • Falling Action
  • So for eight straight days he watched the old sleep, waiting for the right time to kill him. On the eighth night the old man woke with start. The narrator sees the eye, for that is what made his fear grow and attacked.
  • Resolution
  • Then something in the narrator snapped when he attacked he jump on the bed grabbed the old man and pulled him off the bed. He dragged the bed off the frame and through it over the old man. Slowly the old man's breathing and heart rate slowed to when there was no sound.
  • After the narrator realized that the old man had died he then cut the limbs off one by one. Starting with the arms, then the legs, then the head. He then buried the parts under the floorboards. But what he didn't realized was that the neighbor heard a sharp yell and called the police.
  • Soon the police were at the front door knocking to come in. So the narrator finished up and showed the cops around. Then they stopped at the old man's room to talk. The narrator sat down on top of where he put the body, but stared to hear a sound, a sound like a beating heart. The narrator freaked, thought why hadn't the beating stopped. It should have stopped. He freaked telling where the body is scared.
