- The Mediterranean climate is found between the 30 and 45 degree latitudes,on the western sides of continents. Hot, dry summers, with temps around 60-70 degrees. The mild winters with temps between 30-60 degrees.
- WOW! The Mediterranean has good weather in the summer!
- In the Mediterranean there are ever greens and deciduous forests mixed together (Pine and Cypress trees mixed with Oaks.) Fruit trees such as grapes and figs grow here
- YUM!
- Wow... This ocean water is cold!
- The seasonal changes are due to changes in the ocean currents and water temperature.
- ATTENTION PASSENGERS! WE ARE NOW HEADED TO THE HIGHLANDS! PLEASE FASTEN YOUR SEATBEALTS AND ENJOY THE RIDE
- Wow...This dream vacation turned out to be awesome. I'm just sad that it's coming to an end..
- The highland zone is of relatively low altitude and is distinguished by the growth of thick shrubs such as heather, tussock grasses, and deciduous trees and bushes.
- The reason mountains need their own climate type is because the "climate" changes as you move up the mountain. At the base (bottom) of a mountain it might be 80 degrees and sunny, but as you climb the mountain it will get colder and be rainy. As you keep climbing, it might be snowy and freezing cold. In fact, the temperature drops about 3 degrees every 1000 feet in elevation as you move up a mountain. So, the temperatures in Highland depends on the elevation.
