  • Tap! tap! tap!

  • Who's there?

  • Nevermore.
  • Will I see her again?
  • The narrator is slowly falling asleep in his chamber while reading books on a dreary December night. The narrator is then awoken by a tapping at his door.
  • Falling Action
  • The narrator is a little frightened by the tapping ,but still speaks out to the unknown visitor telling it about how it has woken him. The narrator then opens the door to find no one there.
  • Resolution
  • The narrator gets very angry with the raven because he has not answered his questions. The narrator proceeds to ask and the raven says once again nevermore.
  • Literary Element
  • Nevermore.
  • The narrator still frustrated at the raven starts to yell. He is now screaming at the raven to leave his home ,and go back to the Night's Plutonian shore. The raven then speaks, "Nevermore."
  • Nevermore!
  • GET OUT!
  • The raven has not moved and it is still perched on the bust above the narrators chamber door. The birds shadow then lifts from the floor as he say once again nevermore.
  • Nevermore!
  • Go back to where you came from!
  • One literary element would be personification when the raven speaks because birds cant speak like humans.
