  • What a wasteful god! ughhh!
  • Let everything I touch turn to gold!
  • Are they not pretty, my dear?
  • No! They're ugly! They're horrid and sharp and I can't smell them anymore
  • This is Midas, He is a god that loved gold. He had to have plenty of his own but he hated the thought of other people having their own. He didn't like this god, named Apollo, because he often waste his gold.
  • OUCH!!
  • Midas went to bed like a normal night but this night was different. He had a dream and Apollo was in it, Apollo then said, "other gods would punish you, Midas, but I am famous for even my temper. Apollo then granted Midas one wish. Midas's wish was to turn everything he touched into gold.
  • Do you repent?
  • I repent. I will never desire gold again. I will never accuse the gods. Pray, revoke the fatal wish.
  • Midas went along touching all of the roses because in his eyes they were pretty that way but his daughter, Marigold didn't like the roses gold.
  • I thank you for your forgiveness even though it comes with a punishment.
  • Midas, you have learned your lesson
  • Everything Midas touched turned to gold so when he went to go eat a snack, bread and honey, he couldn't. When he began to put it into his mouth it turned straight to gold.
  • Midas finally realized that having the power to turn everything into gold was not such a great thing. Apollo asked if Midas repents and Midas said that he does repent.
  • Apollo gave Midas donkey ears because he was punishing Midas for the wish of the gold. Midas learned his leason and then Apollo took away Midas's donkey ears
