I was so surprised because I didn't expect the killer to be so close to Christopher. I thought it would be some sort of neighbour. I was surprised by the fact that he killed Wellington since we normally see him as a patient person. But after I found out why I began to connect the dots. I understood why he'd always be so cranky whenever "dog" is mentioned or how he threw his son's hard work in the garbage, even though it's just a mystery. I don't think he should've killed the dog for his issues though, but I understood when he said "when the red mist comes down, you can't stop it" because when someone's gets angry, they do actions without thinking twice and after the action is done they realize what they did and feel guilt & regret. After reading about his reasons I understood him, when he mentioned that he couldn't stop his anger but I thought that killing a dog doesn't solve anyone's problems and I saw that there was another side to the father.
I was shocked because I didn't expect it to be him, I did not really feel anything else. After finding out why he killed Wellington, I still didn't think that what he did was okay, it kind of messed up his relationship with his son. I think that the dad is kind of messed up because he resorted to killing Mrs. Shears' dog because she rejected him.
