A man named Daedalus designed a labyrinth for King Minos. The Minotaur was placed in the labyrinth and no one could defeat it.
I have defeated you!
One day a hero named Theseus rose, and defeated the Minotaur and conquered the labyrinth.
King Minos was furious that Theseus had conquered the Minotaur and labyrinth. He blamed it on Daedalus' s design. In his fury, he sent Daedalus and his son Icarus to a tower where they could not escape.
In an attempt to escape, Daedalus and Icarus built a pair of wings. The escaped the tower and hid out on a nearby beach. While at the beach they perfected their wings.
Soon after Daedalus and Icarus finished their wings, they took flight to Delos, a place where inventors are excepted. Being foolish, Icarus, flew to close to the sun and melted his wings. Icarus plummeted into to the ocean and died
When Daedalus reached Delos, he built a temple in honor of Icarus. In the temple he hung up the wings to please the gods.
