Running Watch Wonderings
By ham72, Updated
This storyboard does not have a description.
I can't figure out how my watch works. I know it connects to a satellite.
I'll tell you. It uses the power of the Pythagorean Theorem.
The watch sends your starting location to the satellite, then it sends your end location.
That's cool. But I still don't understand how it tracks my distance.
The Pythagorean Theorem says that a2+b2=c2.
82+72=103. The answer is √103.
But that's just an example. You were really about 60 miles away, and you ended up 80 miles away.
Thanks! Well, I better keep running. I wonder how far I've gone.
