  • Mexico Welcomes Americans
  • por qué no has convertido a nuestras formas?
  • New Dictator of Mexico
  • I am pleased to announce I am now dictator!
  • Battle of Gonzales  
  • You can not take our cannon!
  • The Mexicans invited the Texans to come live in their land so they could claim it but the Texans had to convert to the Mexican ways. When the Texan's came they did not convert to the Catholic church or speak Spanish like they were told. 
  • Battle of the Alamo
  • The new Mexican dictator, Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna, came to power himself by overthrowing the constitution and realized that the American's could easily  rise to power as an excuse to succeed so he ordered the Texans to be disarmed. 
  • San Jacinto 
  • The battle of Gonzales is a very important battle because  this is when the military went to take the Texans cannon. The military went to take the cannon but the Texans fought back and kept the cannon. 
  • Texas's Statehood
  • I hereby declare Texas as the 28th state of the United States of America.
  • The Alamo was an important battle known as a battle where many died. For the Texans the Alamo was a symbol of resistance and a part of their struggle for independence.
  • The battle of San Jacinto was an very important twenty minute battle where American's won over Texas. Nine Americans were killed and 630 Mexicans. 
  • Texas's statehood was a long journey. It took a total of about 10 years for Texas to become the 28th state because America needed a balance between free and slave states.
