  • Our average life span in captivity is about 60 years.
  • Our average life span in the wild is about 40 years.
  • We are old enough to mate at 6 years old.
  • Our baby should be here in 27 to 31 days.
  • When our baby hatches it should weigh 3.2 to 2.5 ounces.
  • Our baby depends on us to defend her/him as their parents.
  • We love living around lakes because if a predator chases us into the water we will run to the other side of the lake.
  • We are very thankful for our lives because we are not endangered.
  • We  have a life cycle that is pretty simple it goes like this.We start as an egg and hatch in 27  to 31 days.Next we are a kid we are not colorful we are just plain white at this age.
  •  We are colorful with curved beaks in 4 to 6 years old.At 6 years old we mate.Finally we lay an egg and our baby goes through the same cycle.We live for a good 40 years or more in the wild.
