  • We are the assembly and we no one really listens to us.
  • I'am the Governor, I have the most power and also make the final decision.
  • We are the Voter and we vote for our Assembly. But don't have any power.
  • We are the council, and we have some power
  • Upper Canada wanted democratic government because, the English people wanted more say in the government.

  • Lower Canada wanted Democratic government, so that the french majority wanted more power over British minority.
  • I am William Mackenzie, I am from Upper Canada. I want democratic Government so that we can choose who is in our Government. Because if you don't choose good people they might not benefit you.
  • I am Louise Papineau. I am from Lower Canada and I want Democratic Government so every one can have a say.
  • I am Joseph Howe, I am from Upper Canada. I want democratic Government so that people could not makes bad choose.
  • In upper Canada the wealthy English families, also know as the "Family Compact" Held the most power in the council. In the rebellions the reformer party won majority,was supported greatly by Americans not loyalist, they also worried about the loyalty of the farmers. However during this time crop failure also affected Upper Canada.
  • In Lower Canada the English Protestants controlled the council, the French Catholics made up most of the assembly. The wealthy families where called Chateau Clique. Fights also broke out between the Canadians and English voters, 3 Canadians got shot while a fight was being broke up. British and Irish immigrants brought up a epidemic called Cholera, killing almost 500. There was crop failure for almost 4 years and that led Canadian farmers to starvation.
