Antibodies are produced by plasma cells which are derived from a B cell, antibodies attach to foreign antigens. Antibodies act as small identification tags for killer T cells to attach to, once the killer T cells attach the infected cell is destroyed.

Jeremy also has an extremely important type of cell which is known as a suppressor T cell, the human body’s immune system is incredibly useful and important however it is important that the system does not become overactive. Suppressor T cells are white blood cells that inhibit this from happening.
At last Jeremy’s immune system has defeated influenza, he is feeling much better! Both memory B and T cells remain in Jeremy’s body so that if he encounters influenza again, his immune system can conquer it easily before he even notices it.
