  • Flavius and Marullus are approaching a group of workmen on a street in Rome. They are asking them why are they not at work. They have come to see the celebration for Caesar.
  • A soothsayer tells the crowd warning Caesar to beware the ides of March. Caesar pays no attention.
  • Cicero and Casca meet on a street in Rome. Casca is worried about the terrible storm. He feels something bad is going to happen.
