  • Our course will seem too bloody, Caius Cassius, to cut the off and then hack the limbs, like wrath in death and envy afterwards, for Antony is but a limb of Caesar.(II:i:LN160)

  • Nor heaven nor earth have been at peace tonight: Thrice hath Calpurnia in her sleep cried out, "Help, Ho! They murder Caesar!" Who's within?(II:ii:LN22)
  • Act II
  • Caesar, beware of Brutus; take heed of Cassius; come not near Casca; have an eye on Chinna; trust not trebonius; mark well Metellus Cimber; Decius Brutus loves thee not; thou hast wronged Caius Ligarius. There is but one mind in all these men, and it is bent against Caesar.(II:iii:LN5)
  • Cassius thinks Antony should be killed with Caesar. Brutus disagrees because it would become too bloody.
  • Caesar is concerned about the stormy weather. He feels that this could be an omen that bad things will happen.
  • Artemidorus goes into the street to give Caesar a letter to warn him of danger. He is reading the letter for Caesar to warn him of the plot by the conspirators.
