Storyboard Text

  • The knight and old woman went to court and the queen commanded the knight to share what it is that woman want most.
  • A woman wants the self-same sovereignty over her husband and he must not be above her.
  • After giving his answer no one disagreed.
  • He's saved his life!
  • The old wife then proceeded forward to speak.
  • I gave him this answer for in return he pledged to do the first thing I asked of him. Sir knight, keep your word and take me as your wife.
  • ... I know I have pledged but do think of another request.
  • In the end, the knight was forced into marriage. There was no joy or celebration. Instead, he married her in private.
  • He remained in sorrow for the remainder of the day. Finally, the old wife questioned his behavior.
  • Is this how knights and wives live together? Tell me what I've done wrong!
  • You're just too old and very poor!
  • The knight was given two options for the perfect wife. After long consideration, he left the matter up to the woman.
  • You have two choices: to have me old and ugly, but loyal and humble, or young and pretty with the opposite personality.
  • I leave that matter up to you.
