Mohenjo-Daro is where current day Pakistan and Northern India are today. 5,000 years ago it lived along the Indus River.
Our homes are made of dried mud
Here our homes are our work places. We hang out on the roof because it is cooler up there.
For bathing we didn't have a fancy shower, we just dumped water on ourselves or went to the city bath house.
For using the bathroom we went in the same place we showered.
Bathing here at the bath house is considered part of religion because we believe in purity
Water represented physical and spiritual cleansing powers.
When we made seals we pressed the stone seal into soft clay. We used seals so we could tell where something came from and who it belonged to.
We didn't have money so we traded goods. Trading was done outside the city for safety.
