  • Since each island had a different food supply, birds with different beaks would live or die
  • A bird with a strong beak on an island with seeds, was more likely than others to succeed.
  • As the strong beak finches survived, they ran wild. Soon they were passing on their beaks to their child.
  • Soon the island is filled with strong beak birds, their songs are not unheard
  • When Darwin made this connection, it became known as natural selection.
  • Forever more this story will live; of Darwin, the finches, and the lessons they give
