Storyboard Text

  • I'm not hungry... I have been eating all along!
  • Once, there was a famine and the animals in the wild were starved, so animals began eating their mother's for food.
  • My mother just died and I am so hungry! Aren't you... ?
  • Yes, I am. This famine really makes you hungry.
  • Dog was secretly getting food from him living mother in the sky. Tortoise found out and was furious.
  • Mother and friends in heaven, please send me my next meal!
  • Oh no! His mom has been getting him food! He is healthy and lied!
  • Okay, son! We are all happy you are not starving. I'll send it down the rope.
  • Tortoise made a deal with Dog in hopes of gaining some food during the harsh famine.
  • I know your secret. If you don't take me up to the sky, I'll tell the village your secret!
  • Fine, I'll share my food with you.
  • One day, Tortoise became greedy and asked for not one, but two portions of food without Dog's permission.
  • Will you please lower the rope? I want two portions of food today!
  • I won't actually share with Dog.
  • We will lower it! We hope that you enjoy the food today and share it with Dog.
  • Dog witnessed this and angrily instructed his mother to cut the rope, destroying the source of food.
  • Mmmmm. This is good food.
  • TORTOISE! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! Mother, cut the rope this instant!
  • When the rope was cut, Tortoise fell into a pile of rocks and since that day, he has had a cracked shell.
  • Haha what a broken tortoise.
  • Ahhhh! Ouch! Goodbyes weren't all they were cracked up to be! My life cracked like ice because I was too greedy.
