Storyboard Text

  • This is Joey he is a very nice boy, and is in first grade , but has a hard time sharing. He wants to do everything his way and doesn't like to work things out with people, but when he does he is very nice.
  • HI!
  • This is Tommy! He is a first grader. He is kind and thinks that he can't solve problems, and doesn't have much interaction with other kids and he really wants to be friends with someone.
  • HI!
  • It was a fine Thursday afternoon... It was the first graders turn to go out to recess.YES! A boy named Joey shouted! It was the fourth time that he got out to recess before everybody else did. Then he tripped over his untied shoelace. Mr. Summers came over. “Are you alright Joey? That was quite a fall”! ‘Yeah, I am fine thanks Mr. Summers”.
  • Then he went and walked over to the swings there was one swing left and at the same time a boy boy in his class Tommy got there to! “I got here first” Shouted Joey! “You know that we got here at the same time right”?Tommy replied.“No! We didn’t, I got here before you did”said Joey! “Um, but we both got here at the same time so that is why one of us is not on the swing”. Explained Tommy. “Yeah well then just let me swing!”
  • “ No,said Tommy calmly. I feel that we should take turns”. “Well I feel that I should just get to swing the whole recess as much as I want” Joey replied.
  • “I fell down at the start of recess, so that means that I get to swing the whole time and you don’t” said Joey. “ Yes, but that was your fault because you didn’t tie your shoe! Besides you have gotten out to recess this whole week before anyone, so I think that you should let someone else try, said Tommy”. “Yeah well I don’t want to let someone try! Can’t I just swing today and you swing tomorrow?” Asked Joey.
