  • I think we need to pass a law to make smoking illegal
  • I agree. Lets have a vote in the Senate and the House of Representatives
  • Executive Branch
  • As the President of the United States I veto the proposed law.
  • Judicial Branch
  • Together the House of Representatives and the Senate can propose laws and override the presidents veto with a two-thirds vote and pass the law themselves. They can also declare war and propose amendments to the Constitution with a two-thirds vote.
  • Full Faith and Credit
  • The president can approve or veto laws. He also serves as commander in chief of the U.S armed forces and prepares the federal governments budget.
  • Amending the Constitution
  • Yes! Like certain rights for American citizens
  • Federalism
  • The federal government should have power but the states should too
  • Amendments are changes to the constitution. The first 10 Amendments are called the Bill of Rights.
  • We need to make exceptions to the Constitution for American citizens
  • The Federal government and State governments have their own power.
