  • Lamarck vs. Darwin
  • Charles Darwin
  • Look at your silly information I wrote down. Yes an organism can make changes to adapt to its enviroment but the small adaptations the organism made cannot be passed down to its offspring.
  • The organisms that may not have all of the variations they need to be the best of its species doesn't mean they cant't change is they wanted too.
  • •animal adapts to environment •adaptations get passed down to offspring •change is made by what organisms want or need
  • Annd my appendix, its still here! My little toe, still on my foot. Some how over time body parts are not going to just dissapear.
  • This elephant cannot get a bigger truck to reach food and water just by stretching over a long period of time.
  • If organisms are all different, it seems realistic that the ones with variations that help them survive in their enviroment would not die off and would reproduce, like the elephants with longer trunks who could reach food and water, they would reproduce more elephants with long trucks, and the elephants with short trucks who couldnt reach the food or water would die off.
  • Maybe all you are saying is right... it doesnt seem realistic that if i make physical changes to myself that it should be passed down to my children. And that evolution will not be determined by some plan.
  • Thanks Darwin, great talk.
  • I'm glad we can agree that life has changed over time and is never going to stop changing. And that organisms do adapt to there enviroments, with no help from the adaptations there parents might have made.
  • And your theory is not silly, it has lots of great and supported facts, just needed more then one persons point of view.
