  • In the south there are less manufacturers then in the north. The south is not going to benefit from increased sales.
  • Why do i have to pay a high tariff on imported goods and you barley have to?
  • The opinions of the South
  • I hate this new tariff
  • Me too, lets call it the Tariff of Abominations!

  • Senator of Carolina
  • As a senator from Carolina, I believe that the States have the right to nullify, a federal law considered against the states interests.
  • Mostly the southerners did not agree with the Tariff because most of the manufactures are in the north. The southerners did not benefit from increased sales.
  • Andrew Jackson takes a stand
  • I should really stand up against nullification.
  • The Southerners did not like this new tariff at all. Instead of just calling the tariff, tariff the southerners call it the Tariff of Abominations. The Tariff of Abominations because Abominations means something hate full and the Southerners did not like the Tariff
  • The south wants no tariff
  • President the south is getting very angry we should do something before the union splits up.
  • The senator of Carolina named Robert Hayne thought that it would be a good idea if the states had a right to nullify, for their believes.
  • This will not be a good idea.
  • Andrew Jackson had a lot of thought flowing through his head about nullification but nobody knew what Andrew Jackson was thinking.
  • I wonder what president Andrew Jackson is thinking about?
  • The south was getting very annoyed with this new tariff, which made the government make a new tariff. The tariff was not as expensive as the last tariff.
  • We should make a lower price tariff.
