I can't sleep.
I will my lord!
Put a candle in my study, lucius call me when it's lit
The only way is to kill Caesar. I have no personal reason to strike at him—only the best interest of the people. He wants to be crowned. The question is, how would being king change him?
lucius brings Brutus a letter found in his private room. Brutus went to his room to read the letter.
Brutus asks Lucius to light a candle because light is a symbol of life and goodness. He is afraid of the "darkness" which is represents the evil deeds that's about to happen. Lucius leaves the room.
Brutus states he has not slept since Cassius first incited him against Caesar.
