Sandra Day O'Connor was very smart at school. After she graduated from High School she went to Stanford University in California.
After she went to school she tried to find a job. Because she was a girl, it was hard for her to find a job in law because it is a popular job for men. She finally found a job in Arizona State Government.
In 1981, Sandra Day O'Connor became the first woman in the Supreme Court. In the Supreme Court she helped review cases and made important decisions for the United States.
