Storyboard Text

  • Scene 1
  • Let's eat Grandfather. We're having soup today.
  • Scene 2
  • Let's eat, Grandfather. We're having soup today.
  • That's great! I love soup!
  • Using Commas 2
  • In this scene, Ann tells her grandfather something not so pleasant. She said let's eat grandfather, which means they'll eat grandfather. That's wrong!
  • Here, Ann tells her grandfather to have some soup. This sentence is correct, because it has a comma in it to prevent it from meaning - something else.
  • So, commas can save people's lives, right? And they can be trouble when you know or don't know when to use them. Practice, and you'll find a pattern!
