  • O break, my heart, poor bankrout, break at once!
  • Scenes I-V
  • Act III Scene III
  • Mercutio, Benvolio, and a few of their comrades go into town and encounter Tybalt, Petruchio, and their comrades. A bloody fight ensues, ending Mercutio's life. Romeo arrives, avenging Mercutio and killing Tybalt, leading to his exile at Friar's.
  • Act III Scene IV
  • Juliet's Nurse receives the news of Tybalt's death and dramatically mourns in front of Juliet, causing her to think her newly-wed husband is dead, though only exiled. Things are clarified later in the scene.
  • Act III Scene V
  • Methinks I see thee, now thou art so low.
  • Romeo and Friar Lawrence discuss Romeo's fortune. The Friar believes Romeo should be grateful, for he is not dead, yet Romeo does not care if he cannot see Juliet. Alas, Juliet's Nurse delivers a message to Romeo from Juliet, and Romeo decides to go see her.
  • Ha, banishment? Be merciful, say "death,"
  • A brief seen in which Paris, Lord and Lady Capulet decide Juliet shall be married to Paris. The wedding is set for Thursday, yet they are unaware of Juliet's current husband, Romeo.
  • Sir Paris, I will make a desperate tender of my child's love.
  • Romeo visits Juliet, and they profess their ongoing love for each other before parting ways. Lady Capulet then enters, as does Lord Capulet, and tells Juliet she shall be married to Paris. Juliet refuses, and Lord Capulet reacts violently, and storms out.
