  • Poseidon, the god of the sea, loves villages that are by the sea. One day, he claimed the same village that Athena, the goddess of wisdom, claimed. Both Athena and Poseidon were puzzled.
  • What?
  • I claim this town!
  • What?
  • Soon, Athena and Poseidon asked the townspeople which god/goddess should claim the town. The townspeople didn't answer because they knew that if they chose either one, something bad would happen.
  • Who do you choose?
  • Nobody!
  • Next, Athena and Poseidon thought of something to do. They were going have a competition. Whoever provides the townspeople with the most useful item wins.
  • Competition Time!
  • Before
  • Poseidon went first. He gave the townspeople a river from a mountain. When the townspeople drank it, They complained that it was too salty.
  • Yay!
  • Here's some water!
  • After
  • Ewww! It's salty!
  • Oppps!
  • Before
  • Athena went last. She gave the townspeople olive trees. When the townspeople cut the olive trees down, they got olives, olive oil, and wood.
  • Yay!
  • Here are some olive trees!
  • After
  • I won!
  • In the end, Athena won. She provided the townspeople with the most useful item.
