The whisky rebellion started with a tax on whisky to pay for debt. The whisky refiners got very upset and violence. Eventually Washington sent in the militia and proved that the U.S was strong enough to keep order in the country.
The French Revolution started when Washington was president. The french wanted freedom. Washington agreed w/ Hamilton in not supporting France in their war. Jefferson disagreed and behave America should help France fight for the same beliefs. Washington final decision was to stay neutral.
The cabinet battle was about fixing Americas debt. Hamilton wanted to create a national bank to share the debt between states and build credit. Jefferson didn't agree because the south did not have debt to pay.
