In 1920 brothers Adi and Rudolf Dassler open a shoe store in Germany called Gebrüder Dassler.
After numerous clashes after WW2, the brothers divide the company in half each getting their own. One was named Puma the other was named Adidas
Puma and Adidas sales skyrocket with both companies fighting to give their equipment to famous soccer players and olympians.
Rudolf and Adi die within a few years of each other each giving their companies to their sons to renew the battle.
After years of world superiority Puma and Adidas are almost wiped out by new and in style companies Nike and Reebok. Adidas sales fall to 4th worldwide and Puma falls to 5th.
After years of falling sales Adidas signs soccer star David Beckham to and endorsement deal. Adidas sales skyrocket to number two. Puma goes bankrupt but starts to rebound under new management.
