Storyboard Text

  • After taking Antipsychotics and Anti-tremor medications, visiting psychiatrists and therapists, Daniel Aldridge has learned to control and maintain his unfortunate brain disease. Although Daniel still has depressed days sometimes, he manages them enthusiastically until they are over. And when Daniel has 'happy' days he makes as much of them as possible. He also has his loving mother who reminds him to take his medications each day and calms him down whenever he has schizophrenic symptoms. The moral of the comic is that even though you suffer from things like schizophrenia, there is always a notable day your recovery. You just have to believe in yourself to keep going just one more day because you never know, your starting day of recovery may be tomorrow.
  • Why am I even here? What is the point of school? This is all a waste of time! What is the point of anything?
  • It's nothing...
  • Is everything fine honey, what happened?
  • What's been wrong with him recently?
  • Back at home, Daniel is having a visual hallucination and is having a panic attack.
  • Mum help! The walls are trying to eat me alive, what do I do? Help!
  • What are you saying Daniel? There's nothing happening right now?
  • Daniel, it's okay just take deep breaths and slowly calm down. Do not worry the walls are not actually trying to eat you it is just all in your imagination. Think of something more pleasant, go downstairs and watch some TV, I'll book a doctor's appointment.
  • The walls... They-t-t are going t-to eat me!
  • Doctor, so may I ask how did the tests go? I am extremely concerned about my son.
  • I am very sorry to inform you ma'am, but your son has a case of schizophrenia which is quite common around people his age. On the table is a form which has the prescribed medications that your son needs to intake.
